Registered Veterinary Technologist

I’m one of the RVT’s on the team at SVS. I started here shortly after graduating school in 2015 from Red River College. I love being a technician, many different aspects of my job are interesting. One of my favorite parts of being a technician are the dental assessments and cleanings. A healthy mouth helps for a healthy life. Outside of work I enjoy riding and competing with my two horses Misty & Jetta. I also have a Husky/Shepherd mix named Sierra that loves to tag along on all life’s adventures.

Registered Veterinary Technologist

I started working at Selkirk Veterinary Services in June 2017 as a Veterinary Technician Assistant. After studying and graduating I graduated from the Veterinary Technologist program at Red River college in 2019. I love being a veterinary technician, it is an amazing opportunity getting to know all the different patients that come through the door. One of my favorite procedures is to assist with specialty surgeries including TPLOs.
I have one dog (Crowley) and one cat (Azazel) at home currently, they both love to come and spend their days at work with me. In my free time I enjoy making various types of crafts, spending time outdoors, quadding and reading novels.

I am an RVT here at SVS. I graduated in 2011 from the Animal Health Technology Program at Red River College. I love every aspect of my job from the clinical side of vet medicine to the nutritional side; my patients are my top priority!
I have many animals of my own at home, including my horses; Butter, Kahlua and my mini horse Fuzzy, my dog Arrow, my 3 cats, my chickens and my pet bantam Thelma! Being with my whole rodeo of pets are my favourite pastime!

Registered Veterinary Technologist

I graduated from the Animal Health Technology program in 2010 from Red River College. I'm one of the Registered Vet Technicians here at SVS. I've been with Selkirk Veterinary Services, since May of 2010. The surgical aspect of veterinary medicine is what I enjoy the most; from monitoring patients under anesthesia to assisting in the surgery itself.
In my free time I like to go camping in the summer with my husband, kids and our dog Riley. We also have 2 rescue cats named Smokey and Bandit that keep us entertained! Maintaining and caring for my vegetable and flower gardens are one of my favourite pastimes. Also making crafts such as jewellery and reading are some of the hobbies that keep me busy at home.

Registered Veterinary Technologist

I graduated from the Veterinary Technology Program at SIAST in Saskatoon, SK, in 2014. I have been working as an RVT at SVS since 2016.
In addition to my role as an RVT, I also assist with office tasks, such as inventory, scheduling and payroll.
In my free time, I enjoy creating art, crafting, playing the fiddle, listening to music, reading, or watching a classic movie with my cat, Elvira.

Assistant and Client Service Representative

I have been with Selkirk Veterinary Services since the summer of 2019, working in reception. I have spent years prior as a licenced esthetician and makeup artist. I love learning new and interesting information each day working here. I have two cats, Mocha and Chai and our new little dog, Flynn. I usually spend my spare time with my husband, binge watching shows, going out for ice cream and walks or tackling home renovation projects.

Veterinary Assistant

Hello! I am a cleaner/vet assistant, and I have been with Selkirk Veterinary Services since summer 2022. When I started here, I fell in love with veterinary medicine, and I am excited to be starting my education to become a Veterinary Technician in fall of 2023. I’ve learnt so much with this team and I can’t wait to continue working alongside them. When I’m not working, I love to travel, help my dad with his work and hang out with my friends, family, and our dog Harley.

I am a receptionist at Selkirk Veterinary Services. I joined the team in October 2020 after returning from a year abroad in New Zealand. Prior to that I was a direct support worker for adults with disabilities. I have always enjoyed helping people and enjoy that I get to help their furry friends too. I love spending time with my family and pets. I have a dog named Miles and a cat named Tonks.

I have been with the clinic since 2016 as a receptionist. I came to the clinic after working with rescues and really wanted to be involved in the care for animals. I have two dogs, Sierra & Honey, who were both rescued. I also enjoy spending time with my family including my son and friends.

I am the newest member at Selkirk Veterinary Services. I joined the reception team in March of 2023. Being part of the veterinary team has always been a dream of mine, as animals are family too. In my spare time I enjoy equine training along with spending time with my own horses, Gatsby and Prim. Aside from that, I enjoy digital art and designing self tattoos, spending time with my bf and our 2 dogs, Noqa and Larklyn.

Kayla C

I am one of the receptionists here at Selkirk Veterinary Services. I have been here since 2018. Prior to my arrival I worked in boarding, grooming and daycares for pets. I enjoy working on our social media, orders and meeting new clients and patients. In my spare time I am with my family including my two children, and 3 dogs and 3 cats. Our lives are never boring, and I love it.

Veterinary Business Support

I started with Selkirk Veterinary Services in 2007 as Hospital Administrator, and since 2020 in a part time business support and special projects role. I enjoy working with and for the wellbeing of animals, and really like how the team at SVS takes wonderful care of all the furry and feathered patients. One of those patients, a stray cat named Belen, captured my heart while she was staying at the clinic after surgery to find a new home. My home is now hers!
Besides helping the veterinarians, technologists and support staff at SVS, I also love my work as marine engineer as my first and third career. When I am not working or volunteering, I can most likely be found on a mountain bike trail in any of the many parks in Manitoba.
